Baby boom toys set a new precedent. with three boxed dolls, a Sindy, Patch and Paul fetched £200, £300 and £185 respectively. Furthermore, a collection of Sindy accessories including a bed with headboard, quantity of clothes including skis, boots and bags all in very good condition .

A number one Sindy complete in box but missing a few original accessories for £150, if she'd been complete I would have expected her to make  I have no doubt that there is demand for Sindy dolls. Collectors should never settle for a doll that's had its hair cut for example, or has fingers missing. Because so many were produced, the only ones that are going to be sought after by real collectors are those that are perfect examples, and include the box."

It's becoming harder to find Sindy dolls even around the boot sales, and fairs and tracking down clothes, bags, shoes and all the other accessories is even more difficult, "I always think of Sindy as being very English and quaint. She never had the look that the Barbie and real American dolls had. The 1960's Sindys for example had fixed waists, not the swivel ones seen on Barbies."

The Swimming Pool set from 1975 which is extremely rare , will costs you £70-£80. The very fact that there was a Swimming Pool accessory typifies the fact that there was a craze for people building pools in their backgardens in the 1970's. Sindy, of course kept up with the times. There was a Mod Sindy, Lunch Date and Dream Date all reflecting the fashion of the era. While, through the decades it wasn't just the outfits that changed, her features underwent updating too.

Sindy's boyfriend, Paul, came out in the 1960's shortly after Sindy was launched. "Unfortunately he wasn't a very good looking chap and was phased out fairly quickly. But he was reissued in 1986 bearing an uncanny similarity to Paul McCartney who he is rumored to be based on."
